Darren is a musician, keyboard supremo, bass player, composer and producer, credited on over 800 recordings to date and his CV reads like a Who’s Who of major Dance, pop/rock/indie productions over the last 26 years. He’s worked extensively on projects with industry luminaries including Ashley Beedle, Tim Goldsworthy , Jagz Kooner, David Holmes, Horse Meat Disco and Sophie Lloyd. Darren’s signature ‘sound’ has featured on outstanding productions including David Holmes – Bow Down To The Exit Sign, Ashley Beedle remixes (from 2004 onwards), Sophie Lloyd’s Calling Out (feat. Dames Brown), Joseph Malik’s Proxima Ebony and the remixes of North Street Studio One + West (Darren, Ashley Beedle and Jo Wallace). In 2023 Darren and Ashley composed the soundtrack to the incredibly moving BBC4 podcast series, 'Breaking Mississippi', which told the inside story of James Meredith's war against racial segregation in 1960's America. In 2013, Darren co-composed the soundtrack to the US remake of We Are What We Are, directed by Jim Mickle. Darren’s work on cinematic soundtracks can be heard on David Holmes' 1998 Out Of Sight (Music From The Motion Picture) recorded in LA. Darren Morris is third member of Black Science Orchestra (since 2022). When not in the studio, Darren is on the road as a keyboard player for Steve Mason (ex-Beta Band), who he has performed with since January 2016.
